What Will I Learn?

On the SAT, certain skills are tested more frequently than others. For example, did you know that algebra comprises anywhere between 35% and 40% of the math content on the SAT, while probability is tested only about 2% of the time? Therefore, we don't think probability merits as much class time as algebra, but most of our competitors haven't caught on to this idea yet! We decided to take this idea one step further though. We've analyzed thousands of problems from official SATs released by the College Board and evaluated the relative importance of each topic in terms of SAT points. Did you know that triangle questions appear almost twice as frequently as those involving circles? Using this extensive research, we've designed our courses and materials around the most-tested skills on the SAT. For example, although the SAT writing sections may appear to test you on an unlimited number of grammatical concepts, parallelism is one of the most commonly tested concepts while weak passive verbs are tested rather infrequently. Although we thoroughly cover both topics in class, we'll always spend more time on topics that will earn you the most points on test day. As a FastForward Thinking student, you'll learn to master the concepts that will give you a maximum score boost in a minimum amount of time.

Our curriculum is the culmination of 10 years worth of SAT preparation experience. Because some students need a review of fundamental skills while others need test-specific strategies, we've designed materials that strike a balance between the two extremes of a math/reading/grammar review class and a course filled only with SAT-specific "tricks." Most importantly, all of our practice tests, homework, and class exercises are built around The Official SAT Study Guide by the College Board, the only publicly-released source of actual SAT questions. Need to practice hard writing questions that test your knowledge of pronouns? We'll give you a practice set of actual SAT questions!

Because we've analyzed just about every SAT book, course, and piece of software on the market and worked with hundreds of students over the years, you can rest assured that there are absolutely no techniques that we haven't seen and examined in great detail. We know what works on the SAT and what doesn't, and we'll help you to reach your potential in the shortest amount of time.

Great, now you're in a small class that's matched to your scoring level, and the materials are scientifically-designed, but... who's teaching the class?
